Also referred to as “Kellems” grips, Cable Grips are used to relieve the concentrated strain on individual conductors at cable termination points thereby increasing cable life.  In most installations, the eye of the cable grip is connected to an eye bolt or U-bolt.  Include a generous cable loop to minimize the strain on the cable and allow free movement between the cable and the grip.  Cable Grips are strongly recommended for “stretch” reel applications.
